The Lakers Bounce Back Big Against East-West University

University Park, IL (October. 26th. 2019) – After dropping the season opener to Governors State the Lakers rebounded in a big way with a decisive victory over East-West University by the score of 90-68.

How it Happened: 

The Lakers would come out into the first half red-hot from three-point land connecting on 8 of them in the first half. Following expert marksmanship in the first half, the Lakers would cling to a 4 point lead into halftime by the score of 39-35. In the second half, the sharpshooting continued as the Lakers would splash another five three-pointers finishing the game with 13 on 24 attempts. The 2nd half was all about defense as the Lakers would hold East-West to only 35.3% shooting in the second half. The Lakers would roll to a 90-68 victory. Lakers were led offensively by DeLoran Oliver who 22 points and Taylor Harper chipping in 14 points.

For Harper's effort throughout the classic, he earned All-Tournament Team.
