The Lakers Comeback Falls Short Against Carthage

How it Happened: The Lakers stormed out of the gate getting on the scoreboard first. After a touch pass from Joel Meija, Lucas Admire was able to connect and put the ball in the back of the net in the 17th minute. Carthage was quick to answer scoring in the 25th minute off a corner kick set piece. Carthage was quick to strike again in the 34th minute following a defensive error by the Lakers putting Carthage College up 2-1. The scoring would continue as Carthage would score in stoppage time following a breakaway that led to a one-on-one goal with the goalie. Carthage college would go into halftime up by the score of 3-1. 

Out of the halftime break, the Lakers played with an extra notch in there step. The Lakers were able to find the back of the net in the 63rd minute following a goal by Meija that was assisted by Bruno Asca Rosas. More chances would follow in the closing minutes that would sail over the crossbar leaving the Lakers needing an equalizer goal. Unfortunately, that goal did not come bringing the game to a close by the score of 3-2.
