Balanced Scoring Prevails Over Martin Luther

Manitowoc, WI (11.22.2019)- The Lakers welcomed Martin Luther College to Manitowoc in an early season non-conference game. Behind balance scoring the Lakers were able to clinch their first victory of the season.

How It Happened: The story of the game for the Lakers was balanced scoring as the Lakers had five players in double digits. Mackenzie Kolesari led the Lakers in scoring with 14 points, Tasha Rabe added 12 points and Kaitlyn Roycroft, Hannah Sykora and Mikayla Reimer all contributed with 11 points apiece. The Lakers would take a 30-24 point lead into halftime. In the 2nd half, Martin Luther would battle back to even with the Lakers with 48 seconds left in the game. In crunch time, the Lakers would be able to get to the free throw line when Roycroft would connect. Sykora would seal the game for the Lakers from the free throw line by the score of 68-65. This victory would give the Lakers their first win of the season.
