THE EAGLES SOAR OVER THE LAKERS IN CLOSELY CONTESTED MATCH

How it Happened:

Set One (25-27): In set one, the Lakers would open the game sluggish allowing Emmaus Bible College to race out to a 13-5 lead to open the set. Silver Lake College would storm back and knot the score at 13-13 following a serving barrage from Emily Kretsch (SR/Manitowoc, WI). Set one would continue to go down to the wire with both teams tied at 25-25. The Eagles would close the set with a well-timed service ace lifting Emmaus Bible College in set one.

Set Two (16-25): In set two, Emmaus Bible College stormed out of the gate and did not let up. Lakers were able to trim the lead to 10-14 following a kill by Tasha Rabe (SR/Kiel, WI). That would be as close as the Lakers would get in set two as Emmaus Bible College would roll in set two.

Set Three (25-17): Set three was a different story as the Lakers would take control at the 17-17 mark. The Lakers would go on to score eight unanswered points behind a flurry of service aces from Jenna Koeppler (FR/Mishicot, WI). Lakers would dominate in set three.

Set Four (19-25): Early in the fourth set the Lakers maintained their momentum jumping out to a quick 12-3 lead. Emmaus Bible College would halt the Laker's fast start and answer with an 11-2 run locking the score at 14-14. Down the stretch, Emmaus Bible College would execute and leave victorious in the 4th set.
