The Lakers Drop a Non Conference Game to Lawrence

APPLETON, WI (9.25.2019) – Holy Family College losses in a nonconference showdown 3-0 to Lawrence University. 

The Lakers fell by the score of 16-25,10-25, 22-25.

How it Happened: Lawrence hit .274 as a team and got double-digit kills from a pair of players. Lakers were led by Tasha Rabe with 8 kills, Rachel Kluba with 19 assists and a pair of 8 dig performances from Brittany Kenneke and Emily Kretsch.

The Lakers hung around in the opening set, but Lawrence put them away by going on a 10-3 run to end the first set. In the 2nd set it was all Vikings as they raced out to a 20-5 lead before Holy Family college picked up a few points late. Lawrence led 11-3 in the third set before Holy Family rallied. The Lakers took a 16-15 lead, but Lawrence went on a 10-6 run to close out the set.

Up Next: Holy Family College will be returning home on Friday when they will face the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist University
