The Lakers Cannot Cage the Jaguars

Manitowoc, WI (10.9.2019) – Holy Family College cannot overcome the Jaguars of Governors State University by the score of 25-16, 25-12, and 25-15.

How it Happened: The Lakers were led by Tasha Rabe who posted an impressive 9 kills in the match with five of them coming in the opening game. The Lakers were most competitive in the first set where they were within three until the Jaguars would go on a 4-0 run led by Dunja Tatic's barrage of serves that would put the opening game away. In the following sets, the Jaguars would continue to do there damage with their serves racking up double digits in service aces throughout the match. Rachel Kluba played an important role for the Lakers as she contributed with 18 assists in the match. Overall, the combination of Kluba and Rabe was not enough to get the Lakers back in the win column as they would fall in three sets to Governors State.

Up Next: Holy Family College will be hitting the road for conference matchups with Crowley's Ridge, Lincoln Christian University and Fisk University on October 11th-12th in Lincoln, IL.
