Lincoln, IL (10.12.2019) – Lakers drop three consecutive conference games at the A.I.I. Classic bringing the Lakers to 0-7 in league play.
How it Happened:
Game One: Holy Family College vs. Crowley's Ridge College (12-25), (10-25), (11-25)
In-game one of the classic, Lakers struggled to get into a rhythm offensively and had trouble receiving serves all afternoon. Crowley's Ridge was able to rack up 19 service aces in the game. The Lakers were led offensively by Tasha Rabe who contributed with 6 kills in the match. The Lakers also saw contributions from Rachel Kluba who had 9 digs and 11 assists in the match.
Game Two: Holy Family College vs. Lincoln Christian University (7-25), (17-25), (8-25)
The Lakers would follow with a match against Lincoln Christian. Lincoln Christian's serves were tough to handle resulting in 18 receiving errors for the Lakers. The Lakers were led offensively behind good offensive games from Kenneke and Rabe. Defensively, Trinity Nolan led the way with 7 digs.
Game Three: Holy Family College vs. Fisk University (8-25), (17-25), (21-25)
The Lakers would close the A.I.I. Classic against Fisk University. The Lakers were led by Tasha Rabe who would contribute with 6 kills and 8 digs. Rachel Kluba led the way with 12 assists for the Lakers as they would drop the final match of the A.I.I. Classic to Fisk University.
Up Next: The Lakers will be returning to action on October 15th where they will be traveling to Watertown, WI to face Maranatha Baptist University at 8:00 PM.
