The Lakers Split the Home Triangle

Manitowoc, WI (10.18.2019) – Holy Family College splits the home triangle with a victory over Faith Baptist Bible College and falling to Mount Mary University.

How it Happened

Game One: Holy Family College vs. Mount Mary University (12-25), (10-25), (11-25)

In-game one of the triangle, Lakers struggled to get into a rhythm offensively and had trouble receiving serves resulting in 8 receiving errors. Mount Mary was able to rack up 8 service aces in the game. The Lakers were led offensively by Tasha Rabe and Brittany Kenneke who both contributed with 3 kills each in the match. The Lakers also saw contributions from Rachel Kluba who had 4 assists.

Game Two: Holy Family College vs. Faith Baptist Bible College (25-22), (25-27), (25-19) (25-10)

The Lakers would follow with a commanding win against Faith Baptist Bible College. The Lakers utilized the dynamic duo of Emily Kretsch and Tasha Rabe to continuously attack the Eagles defense. Kretsch and Rabe combined for 26 kills on the match. In this high scoring game, the Lakers defended the Eagles attack with great efforts from Jenna Koppler and Brittany Kenneke resulting in a combined 21 digs in the contest. Lastly, Rachel Kluba dealt out a season high 27 assists in the match.

Up Next: The Lakers will head to Milwaukee to have a rematch with Mount Mary University and close the day with a match against Finlandia University. The matches are set for October 25th at 2:30PM and 5:15PM.
